The last 2 days my pc is slowing down in response to user input. This is due to Xorg to go through the roof with memory usage. After 2 hours of operation (fresh boot) it is eating up 2G of memory. Over the timespan of the day it is eating up around 5G of memory. I use Firefox and Google Hangouts constantly during the day.
I used ksysguard to check and that states Xorg uses privately:

- Is there a known issue (I have search and couldn’t find it) related to this behavior.
- Can I fix this easily?
I’m using the ATI proprietary driver for display.
Please move this thread if I used the wrong subforum.
