Xorg.conf won't Rotate screen after 12.2 update

I have just upgraded to opensuse 12.2 on one of my old machines. Nvidia 6100 series card. Everything is good but X will not rotate my screen using the option “rotate” “right” in xorg.conf. If I use nvidia-configuration or “xrandr -o right” I can rotate the screen once I have logged in to KDE of XFCE. Under 12.1 this was done when X started. I have tried messing with the Xinerama setting but to no avail.

What has changed? What am I doing wrong? - is it the new nvidia driver (NVIDIA 304.43) or is this a change in X (1.12.3)?

Thanks

I am also having problems with Rotate. However, I believe that the problem is with the Nvidia Driver. My computer is still on 11.4. and was working until the last Nvidia update. I did not check after I ran update. One of our programers found the problem when he turn on the monitors for a demo.

cat /etc/SuSE-release
openSUSE 11.4 (x86_64)
VERSION = 11.4

rpm -qa |grep -i nvidia

I started a new thread for this being Nvidia Driver problem.
