Installed OpenSuSe 12.1 on a 64-bit Lenovo laptop.
Then ran X-Marks to transfer bookmarks from my other 5 virtual machines.
Ran just great - bookmarks transferred but on opening Firefox this morning had the error message
“Could not initialise the application’s security component. The most probable cause is problems with files in your browser’s profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard drive is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the browser and fix the problem. If you continue to use this browser session, you might see incorrect browser behaviour when accessing security features.”
do you have read/write permissions to the directory where the browser
profiles are stored? (probably ~/.mozilla/firefox/[randomNumber].default
i think you could check with this in a user terminal:
ls -hal ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default
is the partition where openSUSE is installed “full or close to full”?
