Hi,
I am gaming Enemy Territory, and I use it on separate X display, usually :1.
Yesterday I upgraded from 11.0 to 11.1 (also changed desktop from kde3 to kde4). Everything works fine. But when I try to start the game with xinit /usr/local/bin/et – :1 I receive scrolling text on console with mad speed with similar text like this:
p: cannot create regular file
/etc/X11/xdm/Xservers.SuSEconfig': Permission denied sed: can't read /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers.SuSEconfig: No such file or directory sed: can't read /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers.SuSEconfig: No such file or directory cat: /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers.SuSEconfig: No such file or directory Installing new /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers cp: cannot stat
/etc/X11/xdm/Xservers.SuSEconfig’: No such file or directory
rm: cannot remove/var/adm/SuSEconfig/md5//etc/X11/xdm/Xservers': Permission denied /lib/YaST/SuSEconfig.functions: line 75: /var/adm/SuSEconfig/md5//etc/X11/xdm/Xservers: Permission denied ln: cannot remove

cp: cannot create regular file `/etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config.SuSEconfig’: Permission denied
sed: can’t read /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config.SuSEconfig: No such file or directory
cat: /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config.SuSEconfig: No such file or directory
Installing new /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config
Also it creates directories in my home with names like ‘and’ ‘Enemy’ ‘Territory’ ‘=’ and some similar.
I think something went wrong during the upgrade. I need a tip where to start from to solve this problem. I think a file is missing somehow and suse starts a repair mechanism but unable to di it with the normal user rights.
