When I updated my XFCE4 from 4.10 to 4.11 build on OpenSuse Factory, I looged in to my box but had no visible mouse pointer however when I move my mouse I see the icons getting highlighted and I still had the old style toolbar.
I solved this issue by removing folders from “/home/%username%/.config/xfce4”. Logged in again and I got the new style toolbar and a visible mouse pointer.

openSUSE (it is written that way) factory means that you should be
asking in the factory forum, aka beta forum. Just ask a moderator here
to move your post (triangle button).
