i install the live gnome cd’s 11.1 .
all running good, i will install my favorite wm : xfce .
but when i try to open one session it don’t start .
"no backup session can be loaded . failure to identify the session … "
some idea ?

Have you tried to rename the XFCE’s configuration directory in ~/.configure/?
i don’t have xfce-session in .config >:(
maybe the installation is wrong ?

Did you install the xfce pattern or just bits and pieces of it manually?
For reference; zypper in -t pattern xfce
Try out what Chrysantine suggested and if XFCE still fail post the output of
rpm -qa --fileprovide | grep xfce
.

it was missing xfconf :X
pattern forget to instal it ?
now , i can’t go to gnome >:)
i think is gdm ?
all wm go to xfce ^^
Sorry, I have no idea. You have some completely messed up configuration files. Check the settings in /etc/gdm or try to update gdm unconditionally in YaST.
