XFCE, KDE, etc

Is there any way to change from KDE 4.2.4 to some other desktop at booting time?
I know there was a key that needed to be presses, cant remember which.

PD: I wanna experiment with XFCE a bit.

Thanks

BTW, could need some help installing XFCE through repos.

You make the selection on the login screen.

Perfect, thanks.
Also, i found some XFCE installation “guide” around this forums too

If its use for anyone else:

How install xfce side-by-side with KDE? - openSUSE Forums

So far im liking it very much, IMO alot faster than KDE.

If you want a more faster, you can also try LXDE there is a thread in the tech news section for information.

Dont know if it could go any faster, AMD Phenom X4, HD2600XT

Sure it will. It’s lighter, I installed it on my daughters p4 1.7/1gbram and more quicker than xfce. Only thing is she was used to using xfce so kinda hard to convince to switch to LXDE, but the option is there so whenever she decide to use it, it is ready.

True, ill give it a try too. thanks

Here is the repo (http)
