Is there anyone using this driver in opensuse 11.2x86?
xf86-video-xgi ? Thats unusual. xorg forked from xf86 a long time ago from what I recall. I don’t think looking for an xf86 driver is appropriate for openSUSE.
I note in factory this rpm: xorg-x11-driver-video-xgi . I also note that rpm was available for openSUSE-10.3 and 11.0. I have not seen it in 11.1 nor 11.2. I am not at a Linux PC so I can not check, but did you check to see if xgi is in xorg-x11-driver-video rpm ? There is some guidance here to help do that check: HCL/All Video Cards - openSUSE . My guess is xgi is inside the xorg-x11-driver-video rpm.
Phoronix had this to say about xgi: [Phoronix] What Happened To XGI Graphics?](What Happened To XGI Graphics? - Phoronix)
The git web site is here for xgi graphics : xorg/driver/xf86-video-xgi - X.org XGI driver.
… but to answer your question : No I have not used this driver and I believe it to be included in the rpm xorg-x11-driver-video.
