Hi,
I would like to know which VM software is better supported on openSUSE, Xen or KVM. Also, which one of these runs guest OS’s closest to their native speed, basically which one of these VM softwares is the fastest?. Another thing is does the Xen kernel support the proprietary Nvidia drivers yet? I need the proprietary Nvidia drivers to work along with the VM software.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Xen kernel is not the mainline Linux kernel, which is probably its
biggest weakness. Its performance is great if you are paravirtualizing
guests but in the end it is a separate kernel which is why it does NOT
support the proprietary video drivers.
I use Xen on all of my servers, and I use KVM on all laptops. The servers
have no GUI in the first place so the benefit of proprietary drivers is
probably non-existent.

Hi,
With Xen you do paravirtualization et with KVM you do complete virtualization.
I agree with DaaX. Although I have XEN in my system, with KVM you can make complete and more flexible virtualization.
