xen not booting

When I boot from xen I get the following error:

Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
kernel /boot/xen.gz vga=mode-0x317

Error 15: File not found
Press any key to continue…

I searched for it. It is not vmlinux-3.1.10-1.9-xen.gz and kernel vmlinuz-3.1.10-1.9-xen does not work too.

Can anybody help me to get xen booting please?

Thanks in advance.

Every one, please hold off with your replies until I move this to the correct Forum.

Thank You,

Thank you for your patience in this matter. This message thread is now open for replies.

Thank You,

A Grub Error 15 is said to be this:

15 : File not found
This error is returned if the specified file name cannot be found, but everything else (like the disk/partition info) is OK.

Based on your menu.lst file, look in the /boot folder for the files:

/boot/xen.gz
/boot/vmlinuz-3.1.10-1.9-xen
/boot/initrd-3.1.10-1.9-xen

If any are missing, that is why you are getting this error. You might want to visit these suggested sites for more help on Xen:

If you get past the error 15, may I suggest that you try turning off systemd and switching to System V on openSUSE startup (Press F5 to change) and if that works, consider switching to System V until Xen is fixed to work properly under systemd.

Thank You,

With openSUSE 12.1 64 bit xen works, but acpi does not work on openSUSE 12.1 64. The error message is:

resume device <device> not found (ignoring)
Waiting for device <device> to appear: .......................... Could not find <device>
Want me to fall back to <device>

I suggest I hav to make a new thread for this.
