xen installation on opensuse 11.0 - on a fujitsu lifebook

Dear All,

I have just installed opensuse 11.0 on my Fujitsu lifebook - s7211.

It is working fine.

In addition, I am trying to install and use Xen. Installation passed, as given by Suse docs.

When I reboot, the system does not enter the graphic mode. It stays
in the text-mode. I am not having nvidia chip.

Has anyone come across the same problem and found a solution.

Any help will be appreciated.

I have tried patching an old version of the nvidia drivers but it won’t compile for unknown reasons. Presumably the kernelcode has changed to much since last year.

Instead use one of the other drivers as described in my other post.

xen … startx cant be… so sad - openSUSE Forums
