Xen-doc-html error message during installation of Opensuse Tumbleweed

Hi,

yesterday i wanted to install Opensuse Tumbleweed on my Lenovo laptop.
During the installation process, i was told that the checksum for “xen-doc-html” is incorrect and not matching. I didn’t take a screenshot. The installation program warned me, that xen-doc-html could have been manipulated.

Is this something i have to flag?

Bests,
mehmetkay-sudo

Did you verify the checksum of the ISO prior use?

no, unfortunately not. It was very late. To reproduce the error, i’m going to try it again.

@mehmetkayprogramming Hi and welcome to the Forum
If you installed yesterday, there was a new snapshot release, so did have the potential to hit an incomplete mirror. What was the iso image version for your install?

ok, didn’t know, that yesterday appeared a new snapshot release. Thanks for letting me know.

Right now, i’m at work, but will write you the snapshot-version i downloaded, when i’m home at my laptop.

Hi,
as promised, the snapshot’s name is: openSUSE-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-Snapshot20240730-Media.

If i don’t choose the xen-packages, everything seems to run normal. I’m installing Tumbleweed again on my laptop.

@mehmetkayprogramming Hmm, that’s the latest snapshot, wonder if the version on the iso image was incorrect?

No issues here;

Can you look at the install media and see if the version matches?

Hi malcolmlewis,

how exactly can i check the version in the iso-image? Or can i check it during the installation?

Bests!

@mehmetkayprogramming you would need to mount the iso image and browse for the file in the x86_64 directory…

ok, thank you. I will write you, asap.

unfortunately i deleted the iso image, without recognizing.
However, when i install the xen-doc-html, i get this:

Backend: classic_rpmtrans
Fortfahren? [j/n/v/...? zeigt alle Optionen] (j): j

(1/1) Installieren: xen-doc-html-4.18.2_06-150600.3.3.1.x86_64 .........................................................................................[fertig]

Also when i unpack the downloaded iso image, i see no xen-doc-html.
I see other xen-packages, like xen-4.18.2_06-2.1.x86_64, xen-libs-4.18.2_06-2.1.x86_64, xen-tools-4.18.2_06-2.1.x86_64, xen-tools-domU-4.18.2_06-2.1.x86_64.

@mehmetkayprogramming then likely not on the iso image, so I would suspect it was a timing issue… install+new snapshot release…

ok, thanks. If i can install xen-doc-html from terminal, than this is no issue for me.
