The official Tumbleweed-OSS repo has rolled back to older version 1.20.3-3.1, no need to d/l separately. Just update as usual using Yast Soft / Myrlyn.
Thank you, openSUSE, the downgraded xdg-desktop-portal has arrived and replaced my manually installed downgrade.
Yes, DeskFlow app was bugging and freezing due to issue. After the downgrade everything works fine.
Yes great, thank you to openSuse. There is one slight difference to the above mentioned version:
above from history: 1.20.3-2.3
new in official repo: 1.20.3-3.1
(crash version: 1.21.0-1.1)
The important part is the upstream version number. Everything before the - is the version number, everything after the - is related to OBS building the package.
The upstream version having the issue is 1.21.0, the previous version is 1.20.3. That number is the important one here.
the ‘new’ 3.1 is simply related to the fact that the ‘new’ 1.20.3 package was built after the 2.3 and that number is increased so the latest builds are installed even when the upstream package number hasn’t changed.
Thank you that was the solution
I’ll have to thank my partner for visiting over the weekend and keeping me preoccupied enough that I didn’t try updating before seeing this thread.
I updated to 20260308 this morning with the rolled back package and everything seems fine so far. Thank you for sharing!
Unrelated Waffle
On an unrelated note, NoMachine (specifically NX) started working again in the new snapshot, having been broken since a few snapshots ago. I never found out exactly what the problem was the first time NoMachine broke and didn’t have time to diagnose this time around either, but I’m happy that it works again.
