Xconsole shows up upon boot--how do I get rid of it?

I am seeing this weird icon after I boot, and my login is a sparse looking grey screen. How do I get rid of it?

That image does not load here. Why don’t you use susepaste?

Guessing, change “DISPLAYMANAGER” in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager. Make
sure you have installed what you choose.

Sorry about that. Photobucket has always worked before.

Here is the susepaste image.
SUSE Paste

I found an old thread about this when I searched, but the link is broken. http://forums.opensuse.org/archives/sls-archives/archives-suse-linux/archives-install-boot/383213-xconsole.html

I think the “problem” is what I stated previously. xconsole is a classix X
feature that GDM/KDM do not use. You might be using XDM.

I solved the issue by going to /etc/sysconfig Editor and changing my default window manager to kde4. Somehow the update to KDE 4.8 messed up my default window manager.

All is well now.
