X41 tablet PC support in OpenSuse11

Hi. So far upon playing around with my newly installed OpenSuse 11, in general, I like it so far.
But I have a few gripes with it.:

  1. I’m using an X41 Tablet PC and I was delighted that this model is supported in OpenSuse 11. I was able to “Activate This Tablet” on the SaX2 app. I assume I got it right coz of the message I got below:
    "Your modifactions will take effect the next time the graphic system is restarted. Exit SaX2 now.?
    But when I started to use my digitizer pen, the system hangs. So I had to forcefully shutdown my laptop

  2. Is there a way to forcefully kill a misbehaving app? After I clicked something in one of the YaST menus, my system seemed to have hanged.
    I say “seemed” coz the mouse and the ALT-TAB were still working but I couldn’t do anything, I wish there was a CTR-ALT-DEL to kill the process of the misbehaving app.

So far these are just the problems I encountered. I wish somebody can give me some advice on how to address this. Thanks

  1. I am not sure if it is the answer you would like: but there have been various threads on the Wacom tablets: reading those, might help you see how the system tries to modify files, so that a tablet can be run …

  2. there is an application to kill: we add it to what we call the tool bar at the bottom of the screen:

right-click on empty space in tool-bar (also called Panel) at bottom;

select top entry (add to panel)
two down: select application launcher from already in menu
press forward:

but I have hunted through system and utilities; it is in there somewhere

as we have already added it to the panel, maybe it is still not a selectable option; anyway, I cannot now find it; but it exists;

my daughter normally finds things I cannot see: keys, socks etc
