I replaced my broken motherboard with a new one. Now I can boot my SuSe 10.1 but the X server won’t start. I assume the problem might be that now I have integrated graphics on my new motherboard. I can’t use my old graphics card, because it is AGP and now I only have PCI slots.
The error message I got is “No devices detected” and “No screens found”.
How do I configure the X server?
First thing would be to log in as root and run
sax2 -r
This should scan your system and rebuild the X configuration file /etc/X11/xorg.conf
