X Server fails to load after driver installation

Hello,

I am using openSUSE 12.3 64 bit with 3.7.10-1.16-desktop kernel. I have a xfx 9800GTX+ installed in my system, as soon as i installed drivers for the graphic card using the ymp file, i was not able to boot. The x server crashed before reaching the login screen.

Here is the output of /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old

Post your full xorg log to SUSE paste and then provide a link. SUSE Paste

Also provide a list of nividia related packages —

rpm -qa | grep nvidia

Also provide the output of

grep nouveau /etc/modprobe.d/*

Well, the error is there.

So please provide a list of all installed nvidia packages as requested by Tyler_K to find out why the nvidia module can’t be loaded, and the output of:

uname -a

Post your full xorg log to SUSE paste and then provide a link. SUSE Paste]
Well, the error is there.
Oops! yes, of course. Ignore that request – I was cross posting to a similar nvidia problem thread at the same time and made the mistake.

and the output of:

uname -a

can ascertain from the Xorg.0.log commandline:
