X Server Config Nvidia Setting

Hallo zusammen,
ich benutzte jetzt openSuse schon einige Jahre zum surfen, arbeiten und spielen.
Da von meinen beiden Monitoren einer jetzt den Geist aufgegeben hat, habe ich einen gebrauchten mit einer Auflösung von 2560x1080 geholt.
Da mir nur eine Auflösung von 1920.1080 angeboten wurde, habe ich versucht unter Nvidia Settings die Auflösung des neuen Monitors einzutragen. Dort wollte ich unter ViewPortOut die 2560x1080 eintragen, diese werden aber nicht übernommen.

Kann mich hier jemand unterstützen?

Da du deine verwendete DE nicht verrätst…schon unter den Monitoreintestellungen deiner DE versucht?

Ich würde mir nie eine xconfig von nvidia-settings schreiben lassen, funktioniert eh nicht.

Also ändern und apply.

Ich habe die Einstellungen jetzt zurückgesetzt und die xorg.conf gelöscht.

Der ERROR tritt leider weiterhin auf.

hast du es mal mit nvidia-settings und apply versucht?

Ja, da werden die 2560x1080 px übernommen, beim nächsten reboot ist die Auflösung aber wieder 1920x1080 px.

Die werden mir auch in den Systemeinstellungen nicht angezeigt.

konntest du dir das Thema einmal anschauen?

Ich habe die Treiber für die Karte einmal deinstalliert und neu installiert, ohne Änderung.

Wenn du auf beenden klickst, werden die Einstellungen in der .nvidia-settings-rc gespeichert.

Hallo Sauerland,

das Thema kann geschlossen werden - habe das Problem ausgemacht.

Da ich ja jetzt schon alles versucht habe, samt Grafik-Treiber neu installieren , der UNterstützung hier und ein andere Graka vom Spezl, was auch nicht geholfen hat, lag der Fehler an dem DP Kabel.

Heute ein neues DP Kabel gekauft und via Luftleitung schnell verlegt, sie da, er zeigt mir die Auflösung 2560x1080 an. (da schaut auch das neue Theme gleich besser aus) :smile:
