X problem after "sudo zypper up"

After an update by “sudo zypper up” X will not start anymore, I get this :

Uhh, too many forks, PIDs got reused, we’re confused at 11597 hald-runner 1477 fork -513

Also Sax2 will not start and aborts.
Only I can X running in save mode…

This should not happen !!

Ladies and Gentlemen, behold the post above me that serves as a classic example of how not to ask for help. Why, why is it bad? Tell us, demands the crowd.

Well because it lacks all information that one might require to solve such a case, for example the distribution version, what update was installed and the usual debugging commands, such as;

rpm -qa --last | head -n 25

cat /etc/SuSE-release

uname -r

/sbin/lspci | grep -i vga

Yes darling, we need information.

Well yes, I am aware of your saying so, and I indeed forgot some basic info.

Output of rpm -qa --last | head -n 25

Ok, I even has walking pinguins at boot up in save mode

Hi,

That looks like a lot of enabled repositories.

Have you tried without so many enabled?

I also noticed they all have the same priority, I think this is asking for problems.

Try disabling some of the extra repositories you added and updating to check.

Regards,
Barry.
