Wrong Digest ???

I have tried several times to install (Update, then clean) 32Bit SUSE on a system that was running 11.1, however, I get repeated “Wrong Digest” errors - meaning checksums aren’t matching.

I have no idea what could be wrong. I have downloaded the ISO a couple of times and tried burning as low as 4X to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Did you check the md5sum of the iso file before you burned it? If that passes,
then select the “Check media” option on the boot menu of the disk. I would
NEVER start an installation without doing those two checks.

Yes, I have done both.

So, I guess I am the only one who has encountered this. Interesting… Been running Suse for years - first time I have encountered this.

I am going to try a new DVD drive and see what that does.

Replacement DVD drive cured the problem.
