WOW can not start 3d acceleration

Hi All,

I just tried to enable OpenGL in WOW by changing the following value SET gxApi “opengl” in config.wtf. When I do this I can not start wow as it states it can not start 3d acceleration.

Here is the output of

# glxinfo | grep OpenGL
OpenGL vendor string: X.Org
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on AMD TAHITI (DRM 2.42.0, LLVM 3.7.0)
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.1 (Core Profile) Mesa 11.0.8
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.10
OpenGL core profile context flags: (none)
OpenGL core profile profile mask: core profile
OpenGL core profile extensions:
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 11.0.8
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30
OpenGL context flags: (none)
OpenGL extensions:
OpenGL ES profile version string: OpenGL ES 3.0 Mesa 11.0.8
OpenGL ES profile shading language version string: OpenGL ES GLSL ES 3.00
OpenGL ES profile extensions:

and the output of:

# glxinfo | grep render
direct rendering: Yes
GLX_MESA_multithread_makecurrent, GLX_MESA_query_renderer,
GLX_MESA_multithread_makecurrent, GLX_MESA_query_renderer,

I have added all the recommended tweaks for the game but I can not run it with OpenGL

I am running R9 280x video card.

I have checked and looks like all the 32 bit libs have been installed as per the information I have found prior to posting.

I will appreciate all the help you can provide.

Best regards,
Nikolay

Are you using the AMD driver?

Nope I am using the mesa driver.

You probably need the AMD proprietary driver

I will give it a go. Will come back with more info.
