Is there an application in the 11.2 repository that will convert WMV etc. into XVid (Like the DivX converter for Windoze)?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
I know nothing about MS-Windows applications. But user microchip has an application called xvidenc that will convert .wmv to xvid. Its a command line app, but it is setup with default settings for practically everything, so in most cases, after the 1st 3 entries, you just press <enter>
To install microchip’s xvidenc just type with root permissions:
zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/microchip8/openSUSE_11.2 microchip
zypper install xvidenc
zypper rr microchip
