And a little Christmas story about this old laptop! I have been working on it as a gift for an old lady at 70 years, who lives outside the city. And she has been using openSUSE on an old desktop PC for over a year now. She is very happy about using Linux instead of Windows, and she is using it mostly for contact with family and friends via Facebook.
The old desktop PC is on second floor and now with this laptop she can stay on ground floor and be on Facebook :slight_smile:

Good to hear. I take it that you have not missed any functions due to the lack
of hp-wmi.

Iā€™m glad that a 73-year old man (me) was able to help (indirectly) a 70-year old
