WLAN connection very unstable and easy to fail

It’s very hard for my computer to maintain a stable WLAN connection in openSUSE. Just several minutes after connection is established, it would lose all up/download speed. Disconnecting and reconnecting makes things worse: the connection status would stall at “Configuring Network Interface”. Some time later pop-up notifications above would show (the second one sometimes reads “DHCP configuration failed”). In openSUSE 13.2 I’ve also encountered it. But in Windows10 or Ubuntu 15.04/15.10 the WLAN connection works well.

Here’s my WLAN card info:

Try

  • Rebootng your Access Point

Also,
What type of typical Internet/network activity? ie. Torrents? Large Downloads?
Are there any appliances like microwave ovens or refrigerators anywhere in the vicinity?
Access point distance, line of sight or through a wall or floor and if so what type of material and angle?
Do you have another Internet device to compare connectivity, even a smartphone?

Have you ever run Wireshark? It can tell you what kind of packets are being dropped if you have connection quality or mis-configuration issues. With Wireshark you can capture and view packets in real time, otherwise you can do a tcpdump for later analysis.

TSU

That’s definitely the problem of SUSE Firmware. As I said, smartphone and the same computer with other OS won’t encounter this problem at all.
