With update to kernel 6.18.8 comes amdxdna error

Updatet Thinkpad with AMD CPU (Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350 w/ Radeon 860M) to latest kernel. Got errors during boot:

I’ve no idea where to post a bug report. Can somebody give me a hint how to proceed?

uname -a
Linux X-eins 6.18.8-1-default #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Fri Jan 30 12:17:19 UTC 2026 (0df318e) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Thanks!

That the new npu driver I think.
I would start at https://bugzilla.suse.com/index.cgi if it needs to go upstream they will tell you

Problems with firmware.

Upgrade kernel and firmware for AMD XDNA.

Meanwhile TW is on 6.18.9 …

I’m just seeing this topic now, but I did post a bug earlier today:

https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1258363

Since then I updated to TW 20260216 but the issue persists. I did not find this bug reported before, but just in case I missed something and there’s a similar report already, please let me know

With kernel 6.19.2 the error has gone. As you suggested, I opened a bug report.
