Hello,
I installed SuSE Linux 11.1 recently. The KNetworkManager recognizes my wireless network and connects to it well. Since my internet works on PPPoE, I started the KInternet Tool:
- configured using YAST2
- selected DSL connection option
- added a new connection
- selected “PPP over Ethernet” mode
- using “change device” option, I selected my wireless network device
- activate device “at boot time” option
- clicked next
- I get a "UI Syntax Error: Invalid arguments for the SelectionBox widget. Check the log file!
- I click “OK” and the Internet Service Provider page comes up.
- In the ISP page, I click on “New”
- I get the exact same error as before.
- I click “OK” and the “Provider Parameters” page opens up
- Entered the Provider details
- In the “Connection Parameters” page, I left all as default
- The DSL Configuration Overview page shows the saved configuration.
I check the KInternet Tool and my new DSL connection shows up.
Then, I click on Dial-In and it appears connection both from the icon (two plugs are plugged into each other) and the “View Log” as well.
However the internet does not work! I tried from a stray wireless signal and otherwise my wireless device seems to work okay. Is it because of those errors in the DSL configuration or due to some problem unknown to me? I was hoping to know if somebody has an answer to my question.
Looking forward to anybody’s response.
Cheers,
Linux Junkie
