wireless problems, yes i read sticky

Okay well let me begin by saying that I am new to linux, I used to be a devout windows follower untill i switched to vista. And i have decided it is time for a change.

So i installed correctly… partitioning and such, and upon boot up of opensuse 11 i needed to further configure the wireless setup. I tried doing my best to put it together with common sense, but that is not enough here lol.

I read the sticky and followed the directions as best i could, and here is what i got:

My wireless card is a Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11 a/b/g

after ‘dmesg | less’ i got; Broadcom 43xx loaded

and after ‘/usr/sbin/iwconfig’;

lo no wireless extensions
eth0 no wireless extensions
wmaster no wireless extensions
wlan0 Ieee 802.11g ESSID:" "
mode:managed channel:0 Access point: Not associated

there was some more after this but i didnt continue to copy it.

Long story short i just need a guide or some tips on how to correctly configure this to access my wireless router.

Thanks in advance

ps: sorry im a noob lol

We need to see the output of ‘dmesg | grep b43’.
