Wireless problem in openSUSE_12.1 (32bit) with authentication

Initialisation of wireless network password is not remembered and must be setup from scratch after each reboot.
When initially entering the KDE desktop, a message is given, “Did not activate wireless i/f”.
Wired network works ok when attached.

Also a warning is given at the start of wireless setup which reads,
“Error KDE Control Module”
=====“No agents are available for this request”

Under current policy, to set it up the wireless i/f, root priviledges and wireless network password need to be entered.
The network can then be selected, after which all funtions are ok for the session. But auto-logon is needed.

What is missing?

Under Tumbleweed (11.4) all worked normally with both NetworkManger versions svn and git.
The git version was installed before updating to openSUSE_12.1.

HW is an HP625 laptop

Wireless details are as follows

I am also facing similar problem.
My wireless is not working.

I am a novice user, yet I would do maximum home work before asking a question.
I have used ndiswrapper command after getting all inf, sys, etc files from windows partition

However, the driver was not installed, I tried all zypper commands available in the forum
Installed Pac, Opensuse, Desktop - Kernals and tries
Installed KDE Desktop Environment and also tried the installations
Nothing moved.

My ndiswrapper -i bcmwl6.inf command result is as below:

Previously Fn+F2 itself was not working, now, I am able to turn on the devise and get Bluetooth Benefits which was not available before.

I have the same device, and it is working fine for me, both with a 32 bit install and with a 64 bit install (of 12.1).

Well, strictly speaking, the 32 bit install was of rc2, updated to the released version with zypper dup.

I’m not sure why you are having problems. Maybe install the “rfkill” utility, then run “/usr/sbin/rfkill list” and post the output.

All appears now to be in order.

Renamed directory /home/myname/.kde4 to /home/myname/x.kde4.

Powered down and booted and wireless network connected without intervention.
