help please?

Tried installing the firmware as per lwfinger’s instructions ?

Andy

BCM4310 USB does not work with b43 (yet).

You need to use ndiswrapper, which is what you must have been using
with 10.3

Larry

nope didnt try installing firmware, is that what i’m missing?
how do i use ndiswrapper?
sorry. too much of a confused penguin here. it’s my first time to use a linux

As larry has pointed out,b43 doesn’t work with your device, so you won’t be able to use it for the firmware. Ndiswrapper howto’s are here and Ndiswrapper - openSUSE

Andy

hello, confused penguin here again.
already did the ff:

  1. installed ndiswrapper from the suse dvd
  2. downloaded the windows driver from the hp website… its a .exe file.
  3. figured i needed wine, so downloaded a package, it’s now in my desktop… problem is, dunno how to install it.

i need to install wine, use it to run the driver setup, then run ndiswrapper, correct?

any howtos on these?:shame:
