Wireless Printing

Hi everyone,

Just got a Lexmark Pro200 wireless printer. Can anybody tell me where and how to download the relevant drivers to print using WiFi?. Went to Lexmark.com and downloaded what i thought was the correct driver and the system installed them but cannot find them. When i plug in a usb cable a message tells me that i have connected the correct printer, However when asked to search Lexmark does not even show up on the list to select and search:P. Was successful on my wife’s Windows laptop and after trial and error on my Mac Mini;). Any suggestions please.

CUPS is the system overseeing printing;

http://localhost:631/

paste the above into a free web page on your browser;

it then looks inside your computer; so it does not go external;

middle column: add printers;

then left add printers ; … any mention of lexmark from options ? click? add?

I assume you got your printer driver from here

Lexmark - United States

and downloaded a tar.gz file; and it was the correct 32bit or 64bit config;

and you were able to install a .tag.gz file … ?

Well done
