Wireless Printer Setup

Newbie here, running 11.2 Gnome Desktop 64bit. Loving Suse and OpenOffice so far, but I can’t avoid printing any longer. Haven’t been able to set up either of my printers. Have an old lexmark and print server that didn’t work with the Suse desktop and now I’ve just bought a new Brother HL-2170W wireless laser printer and I can’t get that to setup either.

I’ve tried the drivers from Brother at Brother Solutions Center : Brother Driver for Linux Distributions

The cupswrapper will not install, the error says the repository already exists.

The Linux Foundation seems to recommend hpijs-pcl5e with some generic instructions. Does anyone know if this HP driver will work, and will I still need to install through the terminal or will it detect the printer in the Yast setup?

Let me know if anyone has had any luck with this printer. It’s a pretty good laser printer for $90 so I probably won’t be the last one to try and install it.

Thanks
Bob
