I do IT work here in the Texas Panhandle for rural (out in the sticks) county and city entities.
Recently I was contacted by SkyFiber.com wanting to know if I might be interested in their tech. So I sent in a setup to connect a courthouse, jail and Police department in a local small town for them to quote, they do not sell equipment they only offer as a service.
A simple point to point to connect 2 buildings with a 1.25 Gb secure LAN connection $1,000.00 US a month a 100 MB connection $500.00 US a month. Unfortunately although they would greatly benefit from this tech the cost would chew trough their entire budget in a couple of months.
Does anyone know of any company that sells the hardware outright at a reasonable price.
