Getting Your Wireless to Work - openSUSE Forums
ok guys…I’ve come to the conclusion that using a broadcom wireless setup with suse just plain sucks the big dick so I give up on it. I’m going to back to ubuntu…at least it works
Lol you gave up so easily… you don’t even deserve to be a SuSE-er … I had wireless issues in the beginning, was pain the the you know what, but had the courage to keep on going until I got it fixed.
Really, if you want to learn the Linux OS you need patience.
Oh I know it but I finally got a usb adapter and the wireless works now although it’s not as fast as it should be. I’d still like to get the broadcom issue fixed but I’m too stubborn to quit… I plug away at it every night after work and eventually I’ll get it right. Gotta earn the right to be a SUSE-er ya know. LOL

I’m willing to help you with the Broadcom. Please read the stickies in this
forum, gather the info that they say you should, and post that data in a new thread.
have you ever heard of a program called autoten? I have fedora on my other laptop and pulled up autoten and got my wireless working like a dream on it. I’m wondering if it will work with suse as well
