If it is like my wireless you need to run kinternet. Go to the program menu and type in Kinternet. It will open in the notification area. Right click on the link and select your device wlan0 most likely. When you are connected to your access point right click and go to wireless connections. From there you need to select your wireless point again and input your WEP key or whatever security there is. Also make sure you make it shared key or open key.
If it’s like my Dell (similar model), it’s Broadcom, and if it is, go here: b43 - Linux Wireless and scroll down to the installation instructions for OpenSUSE (you just have to type a code in the terminal)

Before you get told a lot of things to do, you need to go the the
wireless forum (which is where this should have been posted) and read
the stickies. You will then know how to report what device you have, and
probably how to fix it.
