be sure and carefully read though the three stickies at the top of
this forum:
http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/wireless/

Is the firmware installed?
Does your computer have a wireless-enable switch? Is it enabled?
Read the stickies at the beginning of this forum, and try some of those iseas.

you tell us, we can’t see into your machine until you follow the
instructions in the stickies at the top of this forum…there you will
learn HOW to tell us what is going on in your machine…and, then
someone here can help you…
http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/wireless/410319-getting-your-wireless-work.html
will probably lead you to success
http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/wireless/391535-my-wireless-doesnt-work-primer-what-i-should-do-next.html
and
http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/wireless/309432-welcome.html
tells you how to post your problem here and how not to:
“DO NOT post a message saying “My wireless doesn’t work, what do I do
next?” Such a message conveys zero information, and just wastes
everyone’s time.”

my router is hidden. I configured using knetwork tool and still not working. I scanned and see all neighbor wireless less. I don’t have a way to connect internet to post the exact problem. I am using my other window laptop to post my issues. I did tried to install broadcom, but only to find more problems. My repositories fail to initializing. This is getting good.
if iwconfig wlan0 shows ESSID: off/any try issuing iwconfig wlan0 essid “your hidden essid”. Then recheck with iwconfig wlan0, you should see connection information.
you can also check ifconfig wlan0 and see if packets are being sent and received.
Ok,
I tried to save info to usb stick, but yast2 says: saving output to the file ‘/’ failed.
if iwconfig wlan0: linux reply: wlan0 no such device.
what does your ifconfig list look like?
lo no wireless extensions
etho no wireless extensions
ethl ieee 802.11bg essid:off/any
mode: managed channel:0 Access point: not-associated
bit rate: 0kb/s tx-power=20dbm sensitivity=8/0
retry limit:7 rts thr:off fragment thr:off
encryption key : off
power management : off
link quality:0 signal level : 0 noise level : 0
is that your ifconfig or iwconfig output? Doesn’t look like ifconfig to me.
iwconfig output
I wish there someway to copy and past for you.
post ifconfig…
I am on two different machines. trying to get my linux working. I am using window to reply. Do you have any idea to copy to usb stick?
do a ifconfig > ifconfig.txt. Plug your USB key into your linux box, it should show up in Dolphin file manager as a drive in the left navigator. Drag and drop the ifconfig.txt text file created onto the USB stick.

your wireless adapter is not seen by SuSE. You should see a wlan0 device in the ifconfig list. Read the forum stickey to figure out how to get the wireless addpater reconized.
