The new WLAN driver ath5k, included in the openSUSE 11.0 kernel package, seems not to work on the EeePC. So we need to blacklist this module to use the madwifi driver from appleonkel-repository.
But there are many rpms there - which is the right one? At least for the fresh out-of-dvd 11.0 installation.
Hi
I’m running 11.1 fine on a 1000HE my system uses the ath9k driver. Have
you read the stickies over in the wireless forum to
troubleshoot/provide information? I would also look at starting a new
thread in wireless forum.

Thanks for the reply.
I did not provide troubleshoot info because it’s a well known fact that OS 11.0 does not work with wired/wireless card on eee pc.
I just asked a questions how to install drivers and which drivers to use.
Once I got that I’ll try and post troubleshoot info in case of problems.
I tried using 11.1 - it’s much better with network, but I can not use it unfortunately - I need to instal drivers for USB data acquisition equipment which do not work with 11.1.
