Wireless internet not working

I have a fresh install of openSUSE 11.1 with ndiswrapper installed. I have a Netgear WG111v3 USB wireless adapter. I installed ndiswrapper, and installed the proper wireless driver for my adapter. I then set up my wireless device in YaST, and restarted. Now I can see my wireless networks and their signal strengths, but I can’t connect to them. KNetworkManager animates as if it is connecting, and then shows it as being connected, but I have no internet. Firefox can’t load any pages, and #ping Google responds with ping: unknown host Google .

Any suggestions? I really want my internet to work, and I can’t plug into my ethernet.

Hi & Welcome!

I haven’t used ndiswrapper since 10.2… so I’m very rusty there.

Have you also tried using ifup to get your connection up and running? This might be of help : ifup Wlan (netgear Wg111v2) & Suse10.3
