wireless internet access - any advice please

Hello

I have suse installed as dual boot on my pc. I have configured to access the internet via a network cable with no issues and it works fine. I am now trying to establish wireless access to the internet. I can access my router via the wireless link without a problem and can also detect multiple wireless networks. I am looking for a steer on how I complete my wireless configuration to access the internet via suse utilities rather than entering lines of codes. I can supply lots of additional information but did not want to guess at what you would require to help me resolve this problem.

Thanks in anticipation of your help.

Regards
Grizzled

-=WELCOME=- new poster…

at the top of this forum
<http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/wireless/>
there are three ‘Stickys’ which will (depending on how lucky you are
[with the hardware you have]) give you all the steering you will need
or will outline exactly the information the gurus who prowl here wanna
see…

so, post back that you figured it out…or with your info and where you
got stuck…

and, don’t fail to tell us your operating system/version and desktop
environment/version…(‘suse’ is just not enough)

DD
openSUSE®, the “German Automobiles” of operating systems

and there is this script

collectNWData Schnellstart/Quickstart | collectNWData

recommended in one of the “stickies”

that you can run that gathers all the information; and allows feedback to the forum; developed by a linux enthusiast

Thanks for your speedy response, help and advice. I’ll give this a go.
