first of all i want to say my wireless driver n bluetooth driver were not loaded by default even tried broadcomm available in repos but still nothing worked for me…in ubuntu 12.04 my wireless driver ie broadcom sta wireless properitary driver worked for me,…even my bluetooth driver is not loaded by default which is too weird in open suse 12.3 …n i didnt find any default driver for it in repos…but hardware config list my hardware properly…

there is another organization (packman) which does provide them to us…

On topic:
The broadcom driver is of no use, since the wireless card is an Atheros, which is supported by the kernel. My guess is that you have been trying things, and now have the networking set to “ifup” in Yast. If so, change the setting to “Networkmanager”.

hey guys i m not new to open suse at all used opensuse as my first linux os around 2006 but had a bad experience then i made my hard drive unbootable while booting win xp n opensuse at that time so never ever tried opensuse after that but after using debian/ubuntu/fedora/slackware/mageia around 1n half years just thought to give up a try to this green beast opensuse 12.3 a try…
