WIreless EUB-9703 randomly disconnects

Hello all

I just recently installed Opensuse 12.1 planning to use it as a media server.
I installed Play Station Media Server to stream wireless to PS3.
I am using Engenius Wireless USB EU-9703 and it has started to disconnect randomly, it seems only when streaming.

Appreciate any help.

There are probably too many possible causes for intermittent connectivity when connecting over WiFi.

Recommend:

  • Test over wired connection to isolate whether the problem is likely related to wireless
  • Test your wireless over a very short distance (eg same room, devices within a few feet or meters with antenna oriented properly)
  • Stay away from anything that can cause EMF
  • Consider enlarging your TCP/IP buffers and changing your TCP/IP congestion control. I’ve aggregated everything I can find on the Internet on this topic and have posted my recommendations at the following URL

My 2 cents: ipV6 is on. Start Yast - Network - Networksettings, uncheck ipV6, OK, reboot and try again. If I use ipV6 I get exactly the same issues.

Thanks very much , I will take a look

Thanks, I did try this before but it had no effect, thanks anyway
