Wireless enables then quickly disables.

So I have a Lenovo Z570 with a Intel(R) WiFi Link 1000 BGN wireless card.

I installed opensuse and everything works just fine except for the wireless.

It sees the card just fine and acknowledges it is there.

It just wont keep the wireless enabled. I click the on/off switch and it turns on for a split second and then turns off.

I am using OpenSuse with gnome.

bump… anyone? I figure this problem would be a simple fix :(.

Not sure, but check this

Pretty sure it is. A laptop that’s only uses wired (it’s fixed to a desk) has the same symptoms with a Intel(R) WiFi Link 1000 BGN wireless card, well, had, fixed that this morning using the thread, phenomenon gone, cable done away, now works wireless on a stable connection. These forums are wonderful

Thank you for the link, but sadly I tried the same thing and the problem did not go away.
