wireless card won't work :(

ok so i did what it said in the sticky about setting up the wireless but it doesn’t quite seem to find the card. is it possible to tell which driver i need when i have

UDI:/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pci_1688_1a

or do i need some more info? firmware etc seems to be ok

please, also,

dmesg | grep firmware

& also the make/model of wireless device should point us in the right direction
