I’m new in Open Suse and I’m using 11.4 version. I managed to get my wireless card working on my laptop, it detects my router but can’t connect to it. I’m using WEP. If i plug a cable everything works great and in other OS I don’t have any problem with wireless (I have Windows 7 and Snow Leopard running in my Toshiba Laptop)
ok I’ve changed my Security from WEP to WPA and it started to work now. I can connect to my wireless network. Maybe a problem with lower security choice , lol.
The only problem I have now is that each time I reboot I need to run this lines:

You will not need to. The reason you had to do them is that the driver only
reads the firmware when it is first loaded. As it had already been loaded before
the firmware was installed, you needed those two commands, but you are now
through with them.
Your WEP problem was probably due to using a passphrase, not the hex key. As you
will find in many postings in the wireless forum, the phrase WILL NOT WORK.

If you have EVER used the wl driver, then b43 and/or ssb is blacklisted. Fix
that and it will work.
