Hi I am useing the 11.3 version and I love it! we currently had a hurricane leaving us with no power and i switched my wifi button off durring this. When I turned it back on it stayed orange (meaning its still off) instead of blue (meaning its on). My card is a Broadcom BCM4311 802.11b/g and im useing a HP Pavilion dv2000 notebook. I plugged my cable in for internet since thats my only way of accessing it and tryed these comands again: sudo /usr/sbin/install_bcm43xx_firmware
sudo /sbin/modprobe -rv b43
sudo /sbin/modprobe -v b43
sudo /usr/sbin/iwlist scan
and with my scan i got lo Interface doesn’t support scanning.
eth0 Interface doesn’t support scanning.
wlan0 Interface doesn’t support scanning : Network is down
Can anybody help me with this pleaseee!
Really appreciate the help!!!

I had this problem on an older Thinkpad. Re-booting didn’t help that either
unless I did a full power down then restarted. A soft boot didn’t cut it -
had to be power down/up to get it back.
I got it going! I am currently posting this from my 11.3 Wireless! ow owwww! hahahaha … I installed the rfkill package and jus opened up Terminal and type rfkill list all and it showed me evverything being blocked… so i typed rfkill unblock all and my light went from orange to blue… so i checked my wireless connections and did a scan and there was my connection! Thank Yas!
