wine problems: mounting a CD drive?

The other day I was trying to install Autodesk Inventor on my openSUSE machine thru wine, and while it was slow to start, I did get the installer started. However, it seems that the installer couldn’t find the disc it was on. To start the installation, I opened the CD drive folder in openSUSE and opened install64.exe (or something like that) with wine. Later, when the installation actually started, it asked me to insert the disc that the installer was reading off of at that moment, disc 1. So I’m thinking what I need to do somehow is mount the CD drive with wine, so that I can somehow force it to reference the right path to the CD drive. Does this make sense? If so, how do I do it? I haven’t done a lot of work with wine so I might be missing something obvious.

Thanks,
Dan

I’ve had similar problems with wine.
My solution was to copy all the files on the cd and run the installer from my hard drive.

That could take a while, as this is a 2-DVD installation. However, it might be possible. I’m just wondering if I’ll have problems with the multi-disk setup…

Should work as normally if the drive can’t be found then it will ask you to brows to the source. However as you say take some time copying multiple dvd’s
