Wine app start menu shortcut?

Anyone know how to add a wine app (Steam) to the main “start” menu?

wine adds installed apps automatically, after installing steam you should have a new menu item, provided that steam created a shortcut, maybe during install you didn’t chose create shortcuts.
I usually install SumatraPDF in wine and it automatically creates a new menu item.
you can always make a new menu item manually.

How would I go about adding it myself?

Right click menu icon select Edit applications and add new item(s)

or go to
~/.local/share/applications/wine/Programs/
create a new text file called Steam.desktop, in a terminal execute

kwrite ~/.local/share/applications/wine/Programs/Steam.desktop

and paste this

[Desktop Entry]
Name=Steam
Exec=env WINEPREFIX="/home/<you>/.wine" wine <’/enter/path/to/steam.exe’>
Type=Application
StartupNotify=true
Path=/home/<you>/.wine/dosdevices/

where it says <you> put your user account something like
/home/abetterfish/.wine
where it says **</enter/path/to/steam.exe> **enter path to steam.exe, as I don’t have steam I have no idea what it would be, I suggest you open dolphin and go to
/home/<you>/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/ or /home/<you>/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/ and see where steam is installed and the path to steam.exe
edit as there is a space in Program Files name don’t forget to use '" in the path something like
“/home/<you>/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Steam/steam.exe”
