And welcome to the openSUSE forums.

here’s a usable tutorial on manually adding an app to the kmenu Kubuntu Desktop Guide - Edit K-Menu

for wine apps the command line needs to start with ‘wine’ because you’re using wine to run the app
such as: wine ‘/home/user-name/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/iTunes/iTunes.exe’
note: if there are spaces in the path to the iTunes executable the full path must be in quotes, and obviously the actual path for your app will be different (not sure what the iTunes executable is actually called)

neither itunes or wine show up in my application list.
Also what method was used to install wine? in openSUSE you would normaly install via YaST->Software->Software Management, click on search and type wine in the search box.
This method does give you an entry in the applications list.
I note the guide you used is not well suited to openSUSE.

bradells - so how well does it run on your system? what does and doesn’t function? and which versions of Wine and iTunes have you installed?

Hi,

I just installed OpenSUSE 12.1 64-bit, and tried to run iTune with wine. I installed both packages, but I failed to initiate iTune, I got the following error messages:
