I tried to find the newer Wine (1.3.11) and the repositories had it HOWEVER, it complained that it needed wine-gecko 1.1.0 or greater but there were no packages that supplied it and that not having this package would break wine.
Why? Why not have that dependent package available too?
This newer wine is needed to install and run an updated program I use.
I’m running SuSE 11.2 and right now, I have wine 1.1.28.
This sounds like a mozilla (firefox) package, do you have their repo enabled?
I don’t know what repository you were using that didn’t have it, but wine-gecko-1.1.0-14.1 is in the Wine repository for 11.2.

I added that repo and now it messed up YaST and my list of repo’s won’t come up. Grrrr!
I’ll have to look up what I had to do when this happened before. >:)
I added: Index of /repositories/Emulators:/Wine/openSUSE_11.2
and I’m getting errors, YaST couldn’t load my list of repos.
I had to move the incorrect file /etc/zypp/repos.d/Wine_(openSUSE_11.2).repo to my home directory in order to get YaST to work.
What is the correct way to add it?
