Hi,
I recently installed opensuse 11 on my computer. I put the disk in the drive while in windows vista and installed the opensuse installer from there as prompted. when i next booted vista i uninstalled the opensuse installer, however whenever I choose to boot vista from grub, the windows vista boot screen then loads with a choice of booting windows or the opensuse 11 installer which i supposedly uninstalled.
Could someone please help me remove the opensuse 11 install option from the windows vista boot menu?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
The installer is nothing to do with GRUB which has overwritten your MBR - hence the choice.
You need to restore the MBR to Windows only; that, I understand, is normally done with fixmbr but I have never done it myself; so I cannot be of any further help.
I’m experiencing the same problem: after selecting Vista in grub, i get a menu wich asks me if i want to the opensuse-install or vista. I expected that uninstalling the opensuse-installer in vista would resolve this, but the choise menu doesn’t go away.
