Will RC1 be released today as scheduled -or- will it be delayed???

Hi there,

Since we are having problems getting VMware to run on the Beta1 -and- the RC1 is supposed to be out today, we though we would cease our efforts on the Beta1 and start with the RC… IF it will be available. We realize that there have been some problems with the “Main” system which delayed the Beta1 -and- we were wondering IF those problems have caused an extension in the release of the RC1???

Thanks,
Chuck

i just read that RC1 will not be released today, and that a Beta-2
will be released, and then an RC1 on the path to 12.2 will slip to a
mid-September release…

of course, i don’t have a ULR reference to give you, but it will show up
in news or somewhere, soon…

Allllllrighty … thanks for the info.

I guess it won’t help you much, but VirtualBox works just fine on Beta1.

Nope. -But- we found a fix at:
vmware workstation 8.0.2 7.1.5 / player 4.0.2 3.1.5 fixes for linux 3.4 | Weltall’s blog
Using the info from there plus previous experiences and we got VMware version 8.0.3 working on openSuSE 12.2
Thanks anyway for the encouragement,
Chuck

IMHO is better to release 12.2 a bit later with all things working as they should and not now in July.
